General Installation Information¶

To run the examples on this site you will need to install Python and SymPy, at a minimum. Python versions 2.7 or 3.3 should work fine with most commonly used packages. We recommend using the latest version of SymPy that is available on their github repository.

The other tools that you will likely want to install are

• numpy
• scipy
• matplotlib
• ipython
• git

Some of these are part of the SciPy Stack Specification.
